I have been reading some of his classics to my daughter past 3 years and she has been throughly enjoying them.

So, today I am sharing our 10 most favourite titles in this post.

1. There’s No Place Like Space!

“I’m the Cat in the Hat,
and we’re off to have fun.
We’ll visit the planets,
the stars and the sun!”

And so Dr. Seuss’ famous Cat in the Hat whisks young readers off on a fun-filled tour of the solar system.

This title and others form part of a series of books that takes an off-beat look at nature and natural sciences through a fun combination of Seussian rhymes and zany illustrations. Aimed at early readers – from four to seven year olds – the books are designed to bridge the gap between concept books written for preschoolers and more formal non fiction titles that require fluent reading skills. By presenting the facts in a lively and rhythmic manner, they provide the critical foundation upon which complex facts and ideas can eventually be built.

2. The Cat in the Hat

When Sally and her brother are left alone, they think they're in for a dull day – until the Cat in the Hat steps in on the mat, bringing with him mayhem and madness! This is the classic book that every child should have the joy of reading.

Here is an old video of my daughter reading "The Cat in The Hat"!

 3. The Digging-est Dog

This one is a classic, colourfully illustrated Beginner Book which will delight and inspire children who are learning to read.

The story revolves around Sam's new dog; who learns to dig holes and he just can't stop. He digs up gardens, road and buildings, and finally digs himself into a hole he can't get out of.

The adventures of The Digging-est Dog will give children pride and pleasure in their early reading and if your child is a DOG-LOVER; then this is just a PERFECT read.

4. Come Over to My House

If you want to take your child on a global adventure; then this is one of the title you must consider to be on your shelf.

There are brick houses, stick houses, tall houses, thin houses, but the best houses of all are those where your friends live. Children will enjoy the rhythm and catchy rhyme in this delightful book; while looking at people’s homes throughout the world.

5. One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

From there to here,
From here to there,
Funny things are everywhere !

In this hilarious exploration of opposites, colours, numbers and nonsense, Dr. Seuss paints a crazy world of singing Yings, boxing Goxes and seven-hump Wumps!

You and your child will definitely enjoy reading this fun book together.

6. Scrambled Eggs Super!

Peter T. Hooper needs an extraordinary list of eggs for his special omelette. And only the most interesting and exciting eggs from around the world will do. The list of ingredients includes eggs of the Stroodel, whose sort of a stork but with fur like a poodle and of the moth-watching Sneth – a bird who’s so big she scares people to death! Follow him on his zany journey in this Dr. Seuss classic. And I bet your child would invent her/his own special SCRAMBLED EGG RECIPE :)

7. Wacky Wednesday

This book is full of errors. This is no ordinary day! There’s a shoe on the ceiling and bananas in the apple tree, and it only gets wackier. From a hole in the kitchen table to a green sun in the sky, and my daughter simply loves finding each silly mistake in the book and it keeps her hooked on for good half-an hour.

8. Please Try to Remember the First of Octember!

Did you ever imagine a day when all your wishes would come true…Dr. Suess did in this book.

Octember the First is the day on which all your most outlandish wishes come true. If March is too dusty and April too gusty, if May is too early and June is too soon, just try to remember the first of Octember, when whatever you are hoping to get will be yours! From a balloon pool in the sky to a pickle tree in your backyard, Please Try to Remember the First of Octember! is a wildly silly story that will have children laughing—and wishing—out loud.

9. SPOOKY RIDDLES

"How does a witch tell time? " "What does a mother ghost say to her child when they get in a car?" Yes, it's riddles and more riddles and they all connect perfectly to Halloween and the spooks in the night! This is a nice early reader that makes reading entertaining and fun.

10. Green Eggs and Ham

When Sam-I-am persits in pestering a grumpy grouch to eat a plate of green eggs and ham, perseverance wins the day, teaching us all that we cannot know what we like until we have tried it!

This is just the perfect read if your child is learning to read; as this books offers so much rhythm, fun and repetition which will surely make the reading journey very pleasurable for your child.
